Ron Mueck has his largest private exhibition to date on at the Melbourne National Gallery at the moment. After parting from our friends Joel graciously hiked back to the gallery with me so I could see the incredible work of this talented man. He is labelled as a 'hyper-realist' and from this smaller-than-life sculpture of a man in a boat you can see why. We both kept expecting the sculptures to take a deep breath and continue whatever they were doing before the paused.
