2 weeks after starting our new way of eating I heard about this lady (the one the right) from a friend. She was in Henty for one evening and one day seminar about raw food. Here she's teaching us about the benefits of green smoothies for breakfast - fruit (or vegetables) with lots of leafy greens blended up with some water. Leafy greens have so many of the minerals and vitamins that we need yet most of us don't have enough each day. By blending them with fruit we get our daily minimum of the things they have in them and by not cooking them (or a lot of the rest of our food) we retain 100% of the enzymes our bodies need to function. When you cook fruit and vegetables 83% of the enzymes are lost so we have learnt to eat as much of our food raw as possible.Ok - that was a teeny tiny crash course! There is so much more but that will do for this post. Jenny - you are amazing!
